Venue > The Route Setters

This year the World Youth Championships sees two very experienced international routsetters take charge of our walls; Aljoša Grom and Simon Margon. 

Simon Margon
Simon Margon (27 years old) has been climbing since 1997 and been a cheif route setter for more than 60 competitions world wide, including Slovenia, Austria and Italy. When he is not busy drilling new routes, he enjoys climbing, training kids, and participating in a variety of outdoor sports.

Aljoša Grom
Aljoša Grom (37 years old) is one of the leading Slovenian sport climbers and international route setter. He started climbing in his home town Vrhnika in 1990 and won his first national title in 1991.

Since then he has conquered the national title seven times, been a member of Slovenian national climbing team, and competed in major world cups all over the world.

CV:
- Since 2000 he has been a route setter on more than 25 world cup competitions, european and world championships.
- He was one of slovenians best climbers.
- He is the beginer of Lapis climbing holds brand
